Back in September Aimée LeCouteur was one of a committed team of rowers who took on the Thames in the marathon Big River Race event and raised £2,000 for HASTE by rowing 21 miles. Now she’s swapping arms for legs (in a manner of speaking) and will be running the BIG ONE – the London Marathon – for our projects in Africa.
A talented graphic designer, she has even mocked up a film poster for the movie version of her attempt – good luck selling the rights to that Aimée! Do sponsor her on her fundraising site here – you’re also welcome to join us on 21 April to cheer her on!
This has been the third year in a row that we have had a runner in the marathon and we remain awed by all of those who put their legs and arms to use for our projects. Watch this space for more on Aimée’s race, and contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to fundraise for us in the future.
